Main Problem - start again

First of all, you guys need to stop the silly bickering. Post only about the book.

So you are now far enough into the book to realize that schools and $, while they seemed important at the beginning, are NOT the problem.

Wyatt's Dad is in prison. Wyatt, naturally, wonders about his dad....thinks maybe that he might want to meet him now that he's in the same town. I think that the main problem is Wyatt trying to define himself. WHO AM I? seems to be much on his mind. Greer seems to be further complicating his attempt to figure out who he is and what he wants to do with his life. Talk about either his struggle about his dad, or what he's struggling with Greer. Ok?

  1. i think Greer is controlling Wyatt's life. she is telling him what to do like stay with her or go see your dad. i think she needs to let Wyatt do his own stuff.

  9. I think that a couple of you are right, that Greer wants to (somehow) control him. She's a strong girl, and she likes Wyatt's attention. Watch her closely, because she uses her feminine wiles (flirting, being sexual) to keep Wyatt, and she'll use it later too! She's a character to keep an eye on, for sure.
